Weather: The state of the atmosphere with respect to wind, temperature, cloudiness, moisture, pressure, etc. Precipitation:The process where water vapor condenses in the atmosphere to form water droplets that fall to the Earth as rain, sleet, snow, hail, etc. Atmosphere: The air surrounding and bound to the Earth. Atmospheric pressure: The pressure exerted by the earth's atmosphere at any given point, determined by taking the product of the gravitational acceleration at the point and the mass of the unit area column of air above the point. Meteorologist: A person who studies meteorology. There are many different paths within the field of meteorology. For example, one could be a research meteorologist, radar meteorologist, climatologist, or operational meteorologist.
